  • Descrizione: Near the town of Hluboká and its famous chateau timbermen are cutting down trees to be used for raft construction. One of the rafts, being approximately 50 m long and constructed at the Šafař construction site, is setting off a voyage on the Vltava River, with a tent and a camera on board. The raft goes through the rapids, the Purkarecká Sluice Gate; it passes by horses in the water, goes through the town of Týn nad Vltavou, and goes on along the Vltava River, driven by the Červenské Streams. We can see people cooking on the raft, on the river banks there are pasturing cows. Then the shots are showing the Zvíkov Castle and the Orlík Chateau, including their interiors. The raft passes by another raft construction site called U Smrtů, we can see the weir in Letoštice, Podskalí, the Bednář Rock, the village of Třebenice, the Mařenka Rock, the Kubíček Stone. Among romantic places located on the riverside is also ranked the mill in the village of Korce. The raft goes on driven by Svatojánské proudy (St. John's Streams), it passes by the Memorial of St. John of Nepomuk, and we are finally getting to our place of destination - the town of Štěchovice.
